Go farm!

Out of money? Go farm, if you're not willing to spend time at the AH, or working with your professions. Farming can be relaxing. You can treat the mobs as dummies who you can hit to test your DPS...but it's a dummy with loot! If you farm often enough, you can get rich too.

Are you bored? Go farm! You may think farming is boring, but if you do it as a hobby instead of a daily chore, it gets funny. You can even do it while watching TV, or listening to the radio.

Basically, any status you acquire while playing this game can be "cleansed" by going farming.

So, go farm!

Here's a list of nice places to farm stuff:

Storm Peaks: Here, you can farm elemental stuff (crystallized X), Iceweb Spider Silk, ...
Sholazar Basin: Icy Dragonscales, Chilled Meat, ...
Borean Tundra: Rhino Meat, ...
Howling Fjord: Shoveltusk Flanks, Icy Dragonscales, ...

These are just a few from the top of my head, but you can be sure they're all profittable (on most servers, because there are exceptions).

  1. Great post that really highlights that farming should be seen as a casual and relaxing activity rather than a chore.

I enjoy listening to Warcraft Radio while farming :)

  2. nothing relaxes me more ingame than following my route around storm peaks for an hour and ending up with a stack of frost lotus and 20-30 stacks of lichbloom/icethorn.

  4. Yep farming through killing or farming through gathering is a great way to make gold, relax, de-stress, kill some time before raid, get mats, whatever............I will drop in on borean T and spam kill 100 rhinos "just because" and then = borean leather, arctic fur, rhino meat and various random drops all add up to a nice stack of spending coin. Thumbs up on the post!!!
